The Dutch government lists Birmingham, Edinburgh, London and Manchester as Netherlands visa application cities in the UK. UK residents may apply at these listed centres, so Islington does not assign you to London alone.
The Dutch government lists VFS Global application centres in Birmingham, Edinburgh, London and Manchester for applicants living in the UK. You can compare those options through the official Netherlands application guidance. Choose somewhere you can attend; this is not an exclusive allocation for Islington.
The UK residence condition
For the current London address and practical information, use the official Netherlands application guidance and follow its link to VFS Global centre information. Select London and check your appointment confirmation before travelling.
Choose a centre you can attend
Make the decision around where you can attend and what fits your circumstances. Do not choose a destination other than the Netherlands simply to pursue an appointment, or assume that a nearby location has a different residence rule. VFS Global’s UK centre information is useful for checking the centres and appointment-day guidance.
Whichever centre you consider, the Dutch government directs applicants to make an appointment online through VFS Global. Check the booking details for the centre you plan to attend before making arrangements.
Check that Tourist is the right category
The Tourist category is for short-stay leisure travel, including holidays, cruising and sightseeing. If your visit is for business or official duties, Tourist is not the category described for that purpose. First check whether your nationality requires a visa for a Netherlands holiday; visa-exempt travellers do not need this visa route.
For a tourist application, review the current VFS Global Netherlands UK information and the tourist checklist. The checklist states that the application form must be completed and signed, applicants must submit in person, and each document requires an original and one copy.
Plan for every applicant to attend in person, including babies and children. Organising the form and document copies before you book helps you prepare for the appointment without relying on an alert to tell you what to bring. Check the latest instructions, as the checklist is not a substitute for current application guidance.
If no suitable appointments appear
If the VFS Global calendar does not show a date that works, check its online booking service for current options. The official guidance establishes online booking but does not give a verified timetable for new or cancelled appointments. Avoid relying on an assumed release time when making plans.
On the London notification route, the search starts after confirmed payment. Netherlands Visa Alerts sends a notification when a matching appointment is detected. Email notifications are sent on this email-enabled route; SMS notifications are available where enabled, supported and possible, but carrier delivery is not guaranteed.
A notification is not a booking. You must review the appointment details and book personally through VFS Global; the alert does not reserve or hold a slot. Keep your application details ready so you can decide whether a detected appointment suits you.
Choose your centre and act
If London is your choice and you want appointment notifications, start with the London Netherlands appointment alert service. When notified, check the details and complete your personal booking through VFS Global.
